Briana Felix has been named as the new Head Women's Basketball Coach at Tohono O'odham Community College. Coach Felix was an assistant last season under Coach Tim Larsen. The 3rd generation Tucson native graduated from Salpointe Catholic High School. She went on to play collegiately at Avila University in Kansas City, MO. Coach Felix returned home to finish her degree at the University of Arizona, where she served as the student manager for the women's basketball team in 2004. Before coming to TOCC, Coach Felix served as the Head Coach at Salpointe Catholic from 2008-2014.
"I want to express my gratitude to the Tohono O'odham Community College administration and the athletic department for granting me the opportunity to be involved with such a special basketball program within this extraordinary community.
I look forward to stepping up to the challenge, and starting work developing these young women basketball players to the highest levels of junior college basketball.
I've already seen how the community has truly embraced the TOCC men's and women's basketball program and for that reason, I truly appreciate and welcome this experience!
